As an important intangible cultural heritage of the Manchu people in Jilin Province, Manchu paper-cutting embodies the historical memory and aesthetic wisdom of the Manchu ethnic group. However, it faces multiple challenges today, including inheritance disruptions, insufficient innovation, and the loss of cultural authenticity. This research, based on participatory design (PD) theory, establishes a full-link co-creation model encompassing five stages: cultural excavation, creative generation, design realization, dissemination operation, and feedback updating. The model aims to promote systematic protection and dynamic inheritance of Jilin Manchu paper-cutting. Emphasizing multi-stakeholder collaboration, cultural sustainability, and dynamic iteration, the model achieves a closed-loop cycle of paper-cutting culture, from preservation to recreation, through mechanisms such as digital archiving, cross-disciplinary workshops, technological integration, immersive communication, and data feedback. The study combines theoretical construction and case-based reasoning to provide a theoretical reference and practical path for the contemporary transformation of intangible cultural heritage paper-cutting and other traditional handicrafts.
