By analyzing and researching strategies for enhancing seafarers' English communication skills based on ELF theory, this study explores practical methods and measures, providing evidence and promoting their application. This paper analyzes the concept and implications of ELF theory, clarifies its role in enhancing seafarers' English communication skills, proposes application methods and approaches, and further promotes the widespread use of ELF theory in this field. It aims to elevate the international language communication abilities of Chinese seafarers, holding significant importance for maritime operations and navigation safety.
