文章摘要
This essay explores the intersection of eco-aesthetics, culture, and worldbuilding, focusing on how these concepts manifest in digital games and fashion. Drawing on the interdisciplinary concept of eco-aesthetics, the essay examines how cultural practices, such as Aboriginal Dreaming and dot painting, convey environmental consciousness through art. It discusses the role of worldbuilding in digital games, where ecosystems and narratives can mirror real world ecological dynamics, while also acknowledging the limitations of simplifying complex systems. Through the collaboration between the game Abyssal Genesis and fashion brand Rick Owens, the essay explores how fashion, narrative, and digital landscapes can challenge players to reflect on environmental and cultural issues. It argues that while worldbuilding offers a platform for addressing these concerns, the process of abstraction and simplification often leaves out the complexities of real-world systems, thus requiring a delicate balance between accessibility and depth.
