Corpus can widely collect all kinds of navigation-related text materials, which can be used for vocabulary research, grammar analysis and oral training. Introducing corpus into the teaching of maritime English listening and speaking can not only build real language situations for students, but also improve their English listening and speaking ability, and build modules such as vocabulary, professional terms and listening and speaking training to support students' autonomous learning. In addition, the application of corpus can also help students understand English expression habits in different regions, provide students with targeted and regional listening and speaking practice scenes, and help cultivate students' cross-cultural communication ability. In listening and speaking teaching of maritime English based on corpus, there may be some problems, such as improper connection between Hainan Airlines English education and corpus, imperfect teaching scheme and insufficient construction of teachers, which will affect the application effect of corpus. Therefore, this paper will discuss the application value of corpus in the teaching of maritime English listening and speaking, and put forward some suggestions from the perspective of application problems, hoping to give full play to the application effect of corpus, meet the requirements of maritime English listening and speaking teaching and realize the goal of cultivating high-quality talents.
