This study delves into the construction of core competencies and pathways for advancing professional capabilities in collaborative piano. Within music education and performance, collaborative pianists assume multifaceted roles encompassing stylistic interpretation and emotional guidance, with their core competency framework comprising disciplinary theoretical knowledge, musico-cultural comprehension, technical proficiency, and stagecraft. Addressing current challenges such as inadequate professional competencies and homogenized pedagogical approaches, the research proposes four developmental pathways: 1) consolidating foundational competence through systematic training and theoretical studies; 2) broadening artistic perspectives via interdisciplinary knowledge integration and musico-cultural research; 3) optimizing pedagogical strategies through instructional practice; 4) enhancing synergistic innovation capacity via multidimensional collaborative exchanges. The findings establish a theoretical framework and practical references for cultivating collaborative piano professionals, contributing to the professionalization of music education and quality enhancement of musical performances. As musical-cultural diversity intensifies, collaborative pianists must strengthen cross-cultural adaptability and innovative thinking to address emerging challenges.
