文章摘要
The Poetics of Space marks a significant turning point in Gaston Bachelard’s study of imagery, signifying his shift from the psychoanalysis of material elements to the phenomenology of imagination. The phenomenology of imagination differs from Freud’s interpretation of dreams as directed toward an internal space, as it represents an intrinsic process of self-enrichment. It is also less focused on logic than the traditional phenomenology of spirituality represented by Hegel, the phenomenology of imagination emphasizes the spontaneity of the soul;Furthermore, unlike Husserl’s phenomenological method of essential reduction, it stresses the role of individual manifestation, wherein reverie and the soul resonate through the act of presentation. Reverie and the soul constitute the fundamental elements of the phenomenology of imagination, while individual manifestation serves as the central pathway to the poetic space of this phenomenology. The phenomenology of imagination not only provides a new perspective for engaging with space but also infuses phenomenology with sensibility and poetic vitality.
