文章摘要
The study explores intercultural communication effects using Edward Hall’s high-/low-context cultural theory, analyzing overseas comments on Dianxi Xiaoge’s video. The results reveal that low-context audiences focus on individualism and struggle with understanding Chinese culture, while high-context audiences connect more with collectivism. Both groups show positive attitudes, but low-context audiences express emotions more explicitly, while high-context audiences are more implicit. Additionally, high-context audiences show greater interest in Chinese culture and food than low-context audiences.
