文章摘要
Chinese national orchestras emerged in the 1950s as a new form of ensemble featuring traditional Chinese instruments. In their early stages of development, they were influenced by Western symphony orchestras in terms of instrumentation and orchestral structure. Drawing on the percussive traditions of Northern China and the string-and-wind ensembles of Southern China, these orchestras consist of four main sections: wind instruments, bowed strings, plucked strings, and percussion. Percussion instruments, with their long history of development, have evolved significantly in form and variety through modern musical innovations. Their use in numerous outstanding national orchestral works has drawn increased attention to percussion, enriched its performance techniques and expressive content, and injected new vitality into its role, elevating its significance in musical performance. This paper primarily introduces the historical development of percussion, analyzes its application in orchestras, and explores its broader significance.
