文章摘要
This paper examines the multifaceted portrayal of illness in Khaled Hosseini’s .The book, arguing that it transcends mere physiological affliction to function as a potent metaphor for social dynamics, cultural identity, and personal transformation. Drawing upon Sontag’s seminal work, Illness as Metaphor, this analysis explores how the representation of both physical and psychological ailments in key characters serves to illuminate the novel’s central themes and propel its narrative trajectory.
