According to the requirements of the English Curriculum Standards for General High Schools (2017 edition, 2020 Revision) (hereinafter referred to as The New Standard), high school English teaching must achieve the coordinated development of language proficiency cultivation and value guidance. This paper focuses on strategies for integrating ideological and political education into high school English reading instruction guided by the Activity-based Approach to English Learning, providing practical references for achieving educational objectives in high school English reading teaching.
