starting from three modules: concept overview, advantage analysis and strategy analysis, this paper focuses on the application of thematic progression mode in Maritime English teaching. The first module gives a brief overview of the concept of thematic progression mode; The second module analyzes the advantages of the thematic progression model applied in Maritime English Teaching in helping students master the text content as a whole, teachers optimize English teaching design and strengthen the cultivation of core literacy; The third module, for the strategy of the application of thematic progression mode in Maritime English, puts forward five suggestions, which are "analyzing the text structure and designing the overall teaching scheme; using mind map to exercise students' logical thinking; designing English exercises to cultivate students' understanding ability; technology enabling teaching and innovating English Teaching mode; implementing multiple evaluation and results feedback to promote optimization", hoping to improve the quality of Maritime English teaching with thematic progression mode.
