文章摘要
This paper explores the application of the reading circle teaching method in high school English reading teaching. It first elaborates on the theoretical foundations of constructivist learning, cooperative learning, and multiple intelligences. Then, it presents a practical case study using Roy’s Story. The study details how students, through roles like character analyst, emotion tracker, and illustrator, engage deeply with the text. The paper outlines a three-stage activity design: pre-class preparation, in-class activities, and post-class activities. Each stage includes several sub-stages. This approach effectively enhances reading comprehension, critical thinking, and social interaction skills. It also emphasizes that successful implementation requires proper role assignment and teacher’s guidance, offering a valuable strategy for high school English reading teaching.
