Chinese-style higher education governance modernization is rooted in China's profound traditional governance wisdom and cultural heritage, closely integrating the essence of national political science and Marxist modernization theory, and has evolved and developed through the practice of building socialism with Chinese characteristics. Advancing the modernization of China's higher education governance holds multiple value implications, including responding to the urgent needs of national development strategies, implementing educational practices for national governance modernization, and meeting the people's expectations for higher-quality education. In the face of new era development requirements, the modernization of China's higher education governance should adhere to a people-centered governance philosophy, establish a scientific and comprehensive governance system, implement precise and efficient digital governance measures, and continuously enhance governance efficiency and service levels.
