The Nine New Guidelines for Capital Market, as the agenda for national policy for deepening the reform of the capital market, has given entirely new requirements to the teaching practice of investment banking courses. This paper analyses the special requirements of the Nine New Guidelines for Capital Market for ideological and political education in investment banking courses based on the positioning of frontier universities and the characteristics of regional development. From the four dimensions, namely, localization of teaching objectives, characterization of teaching contents, innovation of teaching methods and diversification of teaching team, to build a specific practice path for ideological and political education in investment banking courses in China’s borderland universities, so as to provide a reference for the construction of ideological and political education in investment specialized courses in the universities in the border lands of China.
