文章摘要
This study explores how internships influence the professional identity of postgraduates majoring in English teaching through theoretical analysis and interviews with four interns in Kunming senior high schools. Results show internships shape identity multidimensionally via external and internal factors. External supports like material benefits , leaders’care, and instructors’guidance provide structural and emotional foundations. Interns gain practical integration and confidence through such support. Internally, teaching beliefs evolve as interns balance traditional and modern methods, while working engagement strengthens professional commitment. The study highlights internships as critical for reconciling ideal and realistic identities, urging internship programs to prioritize practical support and reflective practice.
