Flow theory is a kind of state that can make an individual experience high concentration, pleasure and self-forgetting when performing a certain activity. Based on flow theory, this paper analyzes the nine characteristics of flow theory, discusses the performance of flow state in high school students' English reading, and proposes corresponding English reading strategies for high school students to help them better enter the flow state, so as to improve their English reading quality and efficiency.
