At present, with the further development of economic globalization, the internationalization trend of the financial industry is becoming increasingly significant, which puts higher requirements for the training of financial professional talents in colleges and universities. This paper deeply analyzes the opportunities and challenges brought by the background of internationalization to financial education in colleges and universities and comprehensively examines the existing problems in the current education and teaching of finance in colleges and universities, such as the unreasonable setting of course system, the lagging teaching methods and means, the inadequate internationalization level of the teaching staff, the weak practice teaching links and a lack of international exchanges and cooperation, etc. In response to these problems, this paper proposes some targeted and operational reform strategies from the course system, teaching methods, teaching staff, practice teaching, international exchanges and cooperation and other dimensions and aims to provide useful reference for the education and teaching reform of finance in colleges and universities so as to cultivate more high-quality professional talents that can adapt to the demand of international financial market.
