This study explores the key issue under discussion of program structure adjustment comprehensively and in-depth under the demands of industrial transformation and upgrading, discusses the complex changes in talent demand caused by industrial transformation and the current situation of program structure of colleges and universities in detail, analyzes the contradictions between the two, and deeply dissects great significance of program structure adjustment of colleges and universities in improving talent compatibility, promoting the development of colleges and universities themselves and promoting the growth of the regional economic, reveals some problems encountered in the program structure adjustment, such as lagging specialty setup, poor structure of teaching staff, weak practice teaching links and provides a series of targeted adjustment strategies. Each strategy is of reliable theoretical support and detailed practice cases and can provide all-round and valuable reference for colleges and universities to improve their program structure in accordance with the demands of industrial development, thereby optimizing the quality of talent cultivation in colleges and universities and improving their service level to social and economic development.
