In China, oral English teaching plays a crucial role in the foundational English teaching in primary and secondary schools. For non-native English teachers, acquiring standard and idiomatic oral English remains a significant aspiration. In a culture context where foreign language resources are relatively limited, information technology—particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology—has gradually become a transformative force in education. The integration of AI technology is gradually reshaping traditional teaching methodologies, offering students more convenient and efficient learning experiences for oral communication practice and enabling teachers to enhance their oral teaching capabilities. This paper aims to analyze the existing problems in China's oral English teaching and explore strategies for English teachers to effectively incorporate AI technology into classroom teaching. Specific strategies include using AI technology to improve teachers' oral proficiency, enriching teaching methods with AI, and creating immersive classrooms environment by integrating AI with Virtual Reality (VR) technology. These strategies are proposed with the goal of providing available suggestions to promote the development of oral English education in China.
