This paper deeply discusses the importance of short-term volunteer teaching activities for promoting college students' personal growth and cultivating a sense of social responsibility under the new era,and points out that it contributes to the richness of practical education in colleges and universities.The paper also expounds the commonality between short-term volunteer teaching activities of college students and practical education concepts in colleges and universities,and emphasizes their close connection in education concepts,goals,carriers and achievements.In addition,the paper analyzes the challenges encountered by college students in the process of short-term volunteer teaching,including cultural and environmental adaptability,problems in teaching quality and educational resource allocation,the lack of family education and psychological support,and the lack of communication and cooperation mechanism.Finally,the paper puts forward optimization strategies,including strengthening cultural and environmental adaptability training,improving teaching quality and integrating educational resources,strengthening family education and psychological support system,and improving the communication and cooperation mechanism,in order to improve the effect and quality of volunteer teaching activities.
