This study focuses on the phenomenon of high teacher turnover in private colleges and universities, taking Chongqing and Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, two private colleges and universities with relatively low turnover rates, as examples, and conducts a qualitative analysis through interviews with two principals, two directors of human resource management, and 10 teachers. The qualitative analysis was conducted through interviews with two principals, two directors of human resource management, and ten teachers. The study reveals the key factors of teacher retention and provides a reference for improving the stability of faculty in private universities.
