Abstract: With the rapid development of the times,a single discipline knowledge system seems inadequate in facing complex problems,highlighting the growing importance of interdisciplinary integration in higher education,particularly in the field of university mathematics education.This paper delves into the necessity of this trend and its implementation paths.Currently,university mathematics education faces challenges such as a disconnection between theory and practice and inadequate innovation capacity training.Interdisciplinary integration is viewed as the key to addressing these issues.It not only stimulates students'learning interests,making mathematics learning more lively and engaging,but also enhances their comprehensive application abilities and innovative thinking,laying a solid foundation for their future career development.To achieve this goal,this paper proposes strategies from four dimensions:curriculum design,teaching methods,faculty construction,and evaluation system.Curriculum design necessitates the integration of computer science,physics,economics,and other disciplines to form a comprehensive curriculum system.In terms of teaching methods,modern approaches such as project-based learning and flipped classrooms are advocated to promote students'autonomous learning and cooperative inquiry.For faculty construction,interdisciplinary training is enhanced to boost teachers'overall quality.Lastly,a diversified and comprehensive evaluation mechanism is established to reflect students'interdisciplinary learning outcomes.Interdisciplinary integration not only improves the quality and effectiveness of university mathematics education but also promotes communication and cooperation between disciplines,driving educational innovation.It requires educators to possess a broader perspective and a more open mindset,boldly breaking traditional disciplinary boundaries and actively exploring new educational models and methods.
